scrawl

i think doodling is equally important as live drawing or any drawings that comes from a conscious mind. doodling is like tapping into the subconcsious or from a different dimension. live drawing or drawing from an idea is intentionally and doodling is unintentionally. equally important, equally pleasing & therapeutic. One of the workshop i did earlier this year with primary school kids, i told them to keep doodling & get use to expressing your inner desire & voice via doodling, it helps in translating the inner voice bring the formless, wordless intangible into physical, tangible to reality.  These are drawings that i did few years back, i was trying exploring this characters & stroke. I love distorted, non uniform yet simple 2 dimensional shapes. for me its very catchy & quite addictive to the eyes. if pair with simple bold lines, it makes a nice graphics like the Ramones music, simple, melodic-sing along 30 second songs, catchy, punchy as simple as 1,2,3,4.
